Lots of Mud * Series of Obstacles and Challenges * Free Parking * Race T-Shirt * Race Patch * Chip Timing * Wave Times * Teams and Individuals Welcome For shorter lines at obstacles, racers start with their wave time. Awards are based on chip time, so you can start with the last wave and still finish first! Pace yourself! Go through the course at your own speed. Participant Your Race Packet Will Contain: • Blue Ridge Mountain Mudurance T-Shirt • Bib with Timing Chip • Safety Pins to Attach Your Bib • Course Map with Obstacle Description • Race Information • Sponsor Swag The Right Participant Outfit Wear whatever you will be most comfortable running in. We recommend wearing lightweight clothing that dries quickly and a pair of running shoes. We will have water stations to rinse all the mud off once you cross the finish line and men’s and women’s changing tents, so bring an extra pair of clothes and shoes to change into before you head home. Volunteer Want to get involved? You could be the first face that participants see – cheering on mudurance runners as they tackle the course and help them along their way! Whatever you do, you’ll be at the heart of it all; creating life-changing experiences for everyone. Volunteer Rewards • Blue Ridge Mountain Mudurance T-Shirt (only for volunteers working at least a 6 hour shift) • Donuts and Danishes • Water and Coffee Volunteer Roles (these are just examples of jobs; placement won’t be assigned until the day-of) • Parking: Help everyone find a parking space in the proper zone. • Registration & Packet Pick-Up: Provide the first welcome to the participants and spectators. • Starting Line: Help the runners get lined up and ready to start the race. • Obstacles: Helps the runners with the obstacle you are stationed at and point them in the direction of the next one. • Finish Line: Hand out Mudurance patches to each racer that crosses the Finish Line. • Other Roles: Be flexible and willing to help wherever asked. Course The course is challenging and we need people to help encourage and motivate our participants as they run 3.1 miles of muddy terrain sprinkled with obstacles. Requirements • Must be 16 years of age or older. • Attend your shift. Our volunteers play a critical role at our events. If you don’t show up, it affects the whole event experience. • We start early – morning shifts kick off at 6:00 am. We need people who are up for the challenge, will follow through on their commitment, like working with others, and are willing to jump right in.

Feel like supporting instead of running?

• There will be plenty of opportunities to walk the course to cheer on your Mudurance runner(s).

• With all the walking and all the mud, you should wear whatever you will be most comfortable in. We recommend lightweight layers, sun/rain protection, and comfortable walking shoes.

• Don’t forget to bring your camera! After the race, remember to send your pictures to to be featured on our social media and website! We may even use some for next year’s marketing!
